Trump threatens to shut down social media after tweet gag

US President Donald Trump warned on Wednesday that he may regulate social media platforms after Twitter for the first time acted against his false tweets. Trump will sign an executive order “pertaining to social media” on Thursday, aides to the president said, without offering more detail about its contents. Twitter tagged two of his tweets in which he claimed that more mail-in voting would lead to what he called a “Rigged Election” this November.
