Customs seize Indian goods worth over Rs70m


RAWALPINDI: People continue consuming Indian goods giving a boost to smuggling and illegal trade. The demand for Indian dish channels and tobacco products is so high that Customs seized Rs70 million worth of Indian items in a single raid. Two trucks loaded with smuggled Indian cloth and other items were seized last weekend near Kalar Kahar interchange. Acting on a tip-off, Customs Rawalpindi raided a warehouse and seized Indian items worth Rs70 million in Dhok Hassu.
