According to China’s space agency, the Tiangong-2 space lab that they launched in 2016 will be returning to Earth in a controlled demolition. Most of the debris will burn up while entering the Earth’s atmosphere but some is expected to safely land in the South Pacific. The lab has been in orbit for around 1,000 days.
