Federal prosecutors have indicted billionaire Jeffery Epstein and charged him with running a sex trafficking ring and abusing dozens of underage girls. Allegations regarding these charges had followed the businessman for years. The authorities arrested him as soon as he returned from Paris and also found evidence while searching his mansion.
The South African government has been forced to call in the army to deal with an upsurge of gang violence in Cape Town. The army will work alongside the police to control a suspected turf war between rival gangs. At least 13 people have been killed in the last 24 hours due to gang violence.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz took a jibe at accountability judge Arshad Malik on twitter over his "helplessness" at having to sign a press release denying the authenticity of the video she presented. Mandi Bahauddin’s deputy commissioner officer (DCO) has refused to grant permission to Maryam Nawaz and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz to hold a public gathering at the Quaid-e-Azam Stadium in Mandi Bahauddin. However, Maryam has said that she still intends to go on with her rally despite this major hurdle. She further said that the “fake government” was afraid of her.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) withdrew its notification for Nawabzada Shahzain Bugti as the returned candidate from NA-259 Dera Bugti. The notification, dated August 7th, 2018, was withdrawn in light of the judgment of June 28th, 2019 in the election petition titled Tariq Mehmood Vs. Returning Officer and others. The judgement against Mr. Bugti was made by the Election Tribunal, Baluchistan.
